When I focus on this question the word that comes up for me is connection. Maybe behind that word is presence.

I think that when I am connected and present there is greater opportunity for me to feel joy and happiness. When I am experiencing joy and happiness I feel I have a pretty good life.

What do you think?

Connection helps me to be in the flow of my own life. I am present with it. I feel alive. I can connect with people and I can connect with activities I am doing. Connection is the road I travel to experience purpose in being.

The interesting thing is that connection does not always mean easy or even enjoyable. When I choose to connect with a person or with the situation I find myself in, I am empowered. Connection gives me that.

I get to choose what I say, what I do, what I will decide moving forward. It is an active position and process.

Connecting is the opposite of numbing out. It is the opposite of passiveness, victim-hood, and powerlessness. Choosing to connect ensures my engagement in my own life.

Whether it is in conversations, relationships, work, play, love making, arguing, exercising, eating, resting or any other myriad of activities, when I connect in the moment I have an opportunity to be living with and in my purpose. My life makes sense. My life feels good.

Is your life making sense? What makes sense to you for a good life?
